Christiane Amanpour is chief international anchor of CNN’s award-winning flagship global affairs programme Amanpour, which also airs on PBS in the US. She is host of The Amanpour Hour, featuring forensic interviews with the newsmakers, game changers, and cultural icons shaping our world.
She co-presents new podcast The Ex-Files with her ex-husband Jamie Rubin, where they discuss global affairs from their perspectives as journalist and government official.
After joining CNN in 1983, Amanpour rose through the organisation to become the network’s leading international correspondent. She has received numerous major broadcast accolades, including 16 News & Documentary Emmy Awards, four Peabody Awards, three George Polk Awards, three duPont-Columbia Awards, the Courage in Journalism Award, the Columbia Journalism Award, and 10 honorary degrees.
She has been inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame, the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame, and the Atlanta Press Club’s Hall of Fame.
