Amol Rajan presents BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and The Today Podcast, and BBC 2’s Amol Rajan Interviews, a prime-time series featuring leading global figures, pioneers, and thinkers.
In 2016, he became the BBC’s first media editor, leading its journalism on media and technology globally, before joining the Today presenting team in 2021. Prior to his career at the BBC, Rajan was appointed editor of The Independent in 2013, aged 29 – the youngest editor of a broadsheet title in British history, and the first from an ethnic minority for over a century.
In 2023, Rajan succeeded Jeremy Paxman as the host of University Challenge, making him the third presenter of Britain’s longest-running TV quiz.
