Maggie Michael
Pulitzer Prize-winning Investigative Journalist for Mideast and Africa, Reuters
With more than 20 years of experience covering conflicts across the Middle East, Maggie Michael has gained deep knowledge of the region’s political, social, and cultural dynamics. In 2019, she was part of an Associated Press team that won many international awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting, the Michael Kelly Award, an IRE award, and the McGill Medal for Journalistic Courage for groundbreaking investigations of corruption, torture, and other war crimes in Yemen, a country plagued by protracted civil war.
She was an investigative reporter with The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, where she worked on investigations related to financial crimes for two years before joining Reuters in February 2023.
