Feras Dalatey

Investigative journalist Feras Dalatey joined the Reuters Enterprise team at the end of 2024, as the Assad regime was crumbling. He returned to Syria after eight years of exile and joined the Reuters task force on his first day back in his home country.
From exile between Beirut and Dubai, he has worked since 2017 for a number of regional media outlets, including Daraj Media, New Lines Magazine, and Misbar, producing investigative reports and stories focused on violations by the Assad regime.
He has particularly examined the financial network built by the ousted president during the final five years of his rule. This work later formed the basis of a number of stories for the Syria After Assad project, which revealed the fate of that network under the new regime.
