Hannah McKay

Photojournalist Hannah McKay joined Reuters as a staff photographer in 2017 and was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning team for Feature Photography for Reuters’ coverage of the Rohingya refugee crisis.

Throughout her career, she has covered major stories in the UK and internationally, including migrant crossings from France to the UK, the Israel-Gaza war, US Presidential elections, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Mexico migrant caravan, the death of Pope Francis and the papal conclave, and the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cups.

Her work has been widely recognised, and she has been named Photographer of the Year by the British Press Photographers’ Association, the UK Press Awards, and the British Journalism Awards, as well as Agency Photographer of the Year by The Guardian.
