Andriy Dubchak
Frontline Ukrainian Photographer and Reporter, and Founder, Donbas Frontliner

Andriy Dubchak was born and raised in Kalinovka, Ukraine. For many years, he was a correspondent for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Ukrainian Service and documented the 2014 annexation of Crimea by Russia. He is now reporting from the frontline of the war in eastern Ukraine, documenting the scope of the humanitarian catastrophe.
As founder of Donbas Frontliner, an independent interactive media platform, he has become an important source of information about life on the front lines in Donbas. Dubchak has won numerous awards, including the 2020 LifePressPhoto award, the 2022 Golden Day Ukrainian photography prize, and the 2022 Free Media award for courageous professional reporting from battle zones. He also received a Lovie award for his coverage of the Maidan protests in 2014.
