Anna Nemzer
Journalist and Documentary Filmmaker
Anna Nemzer is a co-founder of the Russian Independent Media Archive – a unique collection of interviews, investigations, and articles by Russian independent journalists in the 21st century. She also co-founded the Kronika civic-tech project, which protects endangered media as a means of digital resistance to state censorship and digital oblivion.
She co-directed the Oscar-shortlisted 2024 documentary My Undesirable Friends: Part I — Last Air in Moscow, about Russian independent journalists and their resistance to the Putin regime. She is a presenter on TV Dozhd (TV Rain), formerly the only independent TV channel in Russia and now operating in exile.
