Matthew Rhys

Actor Matthew Rhys can most recently be seen in The Beast in Me for Netflix, and Towards Zero for BritBox and BBC1. He will appear in Widow’s Bay for Apple TV, released in April this year, and will be joining the second season of the WBTV for Apple TV series Presumed Innocent.

Rhys’s many notable roles include George Carlin in the hit feature Saturday Night; Kevin Walker in ABC’s TV series Brothers & Sisters; and the leading role in HBO’s reboot of Perry Mason, for which he received his third Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama. He won an Emmy for his role in the FX series The Americans, one of the most critically acclaimed dramas of the 2010s.

He has starred in the feature films Hallow Road and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, as well as Apple TV’s climate-change drama Extrapolations. He can also be seen in Steven Spielberg’s film The Post and Andy Serkis’s live-action Jungle Book.

Rhys made his New York theatre debut in the 2012 revival of Look Back in Anger, for which he received rave reviews.
