Safwat Kahlout
Gaza Producer, Al Jazeera
Safwat Kahlout has been working as a news producer for the Al Jazeera English news channel since 2011. With a career spanning 24 years, he has also worked as a Gaza correspondent for ANSA Italian news agency – a position he held for eight years – and as a producer for TV channels around the world, including CBC in Canada, ABC in Australia, and NOS in the Netherlands, as well as the UK’s Channel 4 News and other international media outlets.
He is a graduate of the Islamic University of Gaza, and also holds a Diploma in Italian language from the Bertrand Russell Institution in Padua, Italy.
