Malachy Browne

Malachy Browne is a founder of The New York Times visual investigations team, which specialises in using digital and visual evidence for accountability journalism. He has reported on a range of stories that include the US-Israel war on Iran, the Sudanese civil war, Israeli killings in Gaza and the West Bank, Russian crimes in Ukraine and Syria, the January 6 Capitol riot, the murder of Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi officials, and police killings of Black Americans.
This teamwork has been cited in US congressional hearings, by the UN Security Council, and in murder trials. It has also been recognised with journalism awards including three Pulitzer Prizes for International Reporting.
