Beth Rigby

Beth Rigby is the political editor of Sky News and host of the award-winning podcast Electoral Dysfunction, alongside Ruth Davidson and Harriet Harman. She interviews the biggest names in British politics, from Nigel Farage to Theresa May and Tony Blair, and is known for sharp, straight-talking analysis. Before joining Sky in 2016, Rigby spent almost 20 years in newspapers at The Times and the Financial Times, where she was media editor and consumer industries editor.
In 2024 she anchored Sky News’s The Battle for Number 10 election debate, interviewing Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak in front of a live studio audience. In the same year, she also won Political Journalist of the Year at the Royal Television Society Awards and was named Woman of the Year by Women in Journalism, with the judges describing her as “a leading authority in an unpredictable political landscape”.
