Jorge Ramos

Since 1986, journalist Jorge Ramos has been the anchorman for Univision News and his daily newscast is consistently the leader in Spanish-language television in the US. Time magazine included him in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world and The Wall Street Journal called him “Hispanic TV’s No. 1 correspondent and key to a huge voting bloc.”

Ramos is one of the most respected journalists among the 60+ million Latinos in the US and in the many Latin American countries where his newscast is seen every night. He has covered seven wars, interviewed dozens of presidents and candidates, and publicly confronted political leaders such as Donald Trump, Nicolás Maduro, and Andrés Manuel López Obrador. 

The author of 14 books, he writes a weekly column focusing on immigration and Latin America for more than 40 newspapers, distributed by The New York Times Syndicate. He has received 10 Emmys, the Maria Moors Cabot Prize from Columbia University, and the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Political Journalism.
