Youmna El Sayed

Egyptian-Palestinian journalist Youmna El Sayed is based in the Gaza Strip, where she has worked for different international news outlets over the past eight years. She aims to convey Gaza’s human stories and provide a voice for the voiceless, raising awareness of the difficulties, suffering, and obstacles faced by the Palestinian people. A graduate of Cairo University, she is the recipient of a Civil Journalism Award. 

Before becoming Al Jazeera English correspondent, she worked as a freelance journalist for a number of international news outlets, including TRT Digital, TRT World, RT, Kuwait English Channel, CNA, and the Associated Press.
